From 1967 to 1973, Dr. Warshaw worked in the field of developmental metabolism at Harvard Medical School. In 1973, he moved to Yale to be the Director of NeonatalPerinatal Medicine. He was the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, University of Texas Health Science Center Dallas from 1982 to 1987. In 1987, he was elected Chair of Pediatrics at Yale and held the position until 2000. After that, he was elected Dean of University of Vermont Medical School. He died from multiple myeloma in 2000.
