srt means: Street and Racing Technology, also known as SRT, is a group of high-performance cars within DaimlerChrysler’s Chrysler Group. SRT was originally called “Team Viper”, and it helped develop the Dodge Viper. Later, it merged with Team Prowler (the developers of the Plymouth Prowler) to create Specialty Vehicle Engineering SVE. It was later renamed Performance Vehicle Operations PVO. All PVO vehicles were known by the SRT brand, so it was decided to keep that name in place for the development group. SRT produced cars for Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep marques.
