Pekah means in the bible: Open-eyed. The son of Remaliah, who kills his master Pekahiah to become king of Israel 2Kgs. 15:25-32, 16:1: Invades Judah by Rezin 2Kgs. 15:37; 16:5; 2 Chr. 28:6; Isa. 7:1 Israel invaded Tiglath-pileser. Pekah was killed by Hoshea 2 kgs. 15:29-30. It is difficult to determine the chronology of Pekah’s reign. The appendix contains Bible Chronology.
