Pattern Dystrophy means: Pattern dystrophy refers to a set of genetic conditions that causes the accumulation of pigment within the retina. This can lead to vision problems such as age-related macular damage. These genetic conditions can be caused by genetic mutations. They are passed down in an autosomal dominant manner. The condition can only be caused by one copy of an altered gene in either parent.
