Naphtali means in the bible: Wrestlings. Wrestlings. 1:4; 1 Chr. 7:13, the blessing of the tribe Gen. 49.21; Deut. 33:23, land of Naphtali Joshua. 19:32-39. Barak of Kedesh Naphtali, the only man to be of any note in the tribe Judg. 4:6; 5:15-18. However, the history of the tribe is ended with Tiglath-pileser’s captivity.
