Marker chromosome means: A marker chromosome is an abnormal chromosome. It can be distinctively shaped but it cannot be identified. Although a marker chromosome does not always indicate a particular disease, it is possible to distinguish the marker chromosome from the rest of the human chromosomes. The marker X was previously known as the fragile FRAXA FROXA chromosome.
