Jordan River means in the bible: This is the most significant river in Palestine. It was formed from several springs that rise up in Mount Hermon. The river flows through the Huleh valley, the waters of Merom and then descends into the Sea of Galilee at 682 feet beneath the Mediterranean. The river exits at the southern tip of the lake and continues through an intensely heated valley measuring 66 miles. This is called the Arabah and it eventually enters the Dead Sea (1292 feet below the sea level). It runs for well over 100 miles. Its width is between 90 and 100 feet. The depth ranges from 3 to 12 inches.
