Boanerges Mark 3.17 was his name and he was part of an inner circle that was chosen to join our Lord at special events: the raising of Jairus’ daughter Mark 5.37; the Transfiguration Matt. 17:1; Mark 9,2; Luke 9,28; and at Gethsemane Matt. 26:37, Mark 14:33.
