Isaiah means in the bible: Salvation is found in the Lord. The prophet Son of Amoz lived in Jerusalem for 40 years between 740-701 B.C. Hezekiah was his chief adviser and he had great political and religious influence. He is frequently depicted in art with a saw because of the tradition that he was “sawn apart” by Manasseh’s reign.
