Hill country means in the bible: Josh. 13:6; Luke 21:11, 65. This is the ridge or hills that runs from Jezreel and Beersheba to a height of 3000 feet, near Hebron. Sometimes the hills are covered in shrubbery and herbage, but they are more frequently bare. The lower slopes can be used for vine culture and are very fertile.
