Genesis means in the bible: Greek for “origin” and “beginning.” Genesis is a book that describes many beginnings. It includes the creation of the world, placing animals on it, Adam’s revelation, the revelation to Adam of the gospel, the birth of different races and tribes, as well as various languages at Babel and the Abrahamic family, which led to the founding of Israel. It is also highlighted that Joseph was a keeper of Israel. Many genealogies are the basis of Genesis’ structure. Every new section starts with “These are the Generations,” followed by a list of genealogical information about certain parts of your family’s history.
