Gastric MALT lymphoma means: Gastric MALT Lymphoma: Low-grade, malignant stomach lymphoma caused by chronic H. pylori infection. After treatment with antibiotics, three-quarters (75%) of the gastric MALT lymphomas have regressed. One-quarter of those who are not responsive to antibiotics have a characteristic translocation, or are in an advanced stage. This translocation occurs in the type t11/18q21q21q21.
