Gas, laughing means: Gas, laughing: The gas nitrous oxide is also known as “gas, laughing”. It is used in dentistry to analize fear and anxiety. Without it, the gas’s effectiveness is severely reduced. Pregnant women should not use the gas. The dentist should provide at least five minutes of 100 oxygen for the patient after administering the gas. The patient is then free to leave after consuming 100 oxygen for at least 5 minutes. To increase the power output of engines, nitrous oxide can also be used in rocketry or motor racing.
