Ezion-gaber or -geber means in the bible: A site of campment used by the Israelites in the Exodus Num. 33:35; Deut. 2:8; afterward one of Solomon’s naval headquarters 1 Kgs. 9:26; 22:48; 2 Chr. 8:17; 20:36. It was located in the extremity south of Edom at the Gulf of Aqabah’s head.
