Esarhaddon means in the bible: King of Assyria 680-668 B.C. Sennacherib’s son. He built Babylon, conquered large areas in Syria, Arabia and Egypt, and rebuilt Babylon. Manasseh, the king of Judah became 2 Kgs his tributary. 19:37; Ezra 4:2; Isa. 37:38. His son Assurbanipal, or Asnapper succeeded him.
