Enoch means in the bible: The seventh Adam. The son of Jared and the father of Methuselah. Gen. 5;18-24; Luke 3;37; Heb. 11:5. It is not clear what the biblical account of Enoch says. The account only mentions that Enoch was translated, but does not provide any details about his ministry. Jude 1:4 contains a quote from Enoch’s prophecy. We learn more about Enoch through the latter-day revelation, specifically his preaching, Zion’s city, visions and prophecies. DC 107.48.57, Moses 6. These sources reveal that Enoch was both a preacher and an active exponent of Jesus Christ’s gospel. Not only Enoch, but his whole city was also translated. Enoch is a greater man with a more important ministry than what one might expect from just the Bible.
