These people had to sell their soul, time and individuality to an institution which uses them as disposable batteries, while only paying enough for them to live, not more. It is possible to sum up their lives in just a few lines. To comply with the “etiquette”, they wake up at 8 a.m., miss breakfast and commute in terrible traffic. Some even in freezing weather. They then return home, travel in same traffic and suffer from severe depression, get up, go to work, watch TV and finally, sleep. They do the exact same thing for five days each week, and for the rest their lives. They endure it because of these main reasons: They are comfortable staying where they are. They believe that this is how they should live their lives. – They are tempted to consume and purchase useless things, as they don’t have the money to use it for useful experiences. They can’t fly because they would spend more time in the plane than on their weekends. – The couple got married, have children to care for and purchase iPads. – They are able to get a mortgage PS. Most of them also have brown noses. (in Slang Dictionary, added by Marisa Cabrera)
