Dengue fever means: Acute mosquito-borne virus illness that causes severe pain and swelling in the joints and muscles. It is characterized by the presence of headache, fever and rash. Dengue fever can be found in all parts of the subtropics. Dengue fever is also known as dandy fever and breakbone fever. Dengue fever victims often experience temporary convulsions due to intense muscle and joint pain.
