Degrees of glory means in the bible: Evidently, if God rewards all according to their deeds in the body then the concept of heaven for man’s eternal home should include many kingdoms. Paul speaks of glory such as the sun and moon 1 Cor. 15:39-41. He speaks also of the “third Heaven” 2 Cor. 12:2. John 14:2. Jesus spoke about “many mansions or kingdoms”. Latter-day revelation supports the Bible’s teachings on this matter and confirms that the three main categories of glory to which members of the human family are assigned after their resurrection from death is complete. They are the celestial and terrestrial kingdoms and the telestial ones. The sun, moon and stars of these three kingdoms are described as typical DC 76, 88:20-32, and 131:1-4. There is also a place called perdition that’s reserved for people who have committed the most serious sin.
