Chebar means in the bible: The Euphrates River, north of Babylon. It was a canal or waterway. It flowed sixty miles southeast to rejoin the Euphrates. Many exiles from Judah were able to live on its banks. Here Ezekiel was able to see his visions of Ezek. 1:1, 3; 3:15, 23; 10:15, 20, 22; 43:3.
