Bashan means in the bible: Manasseh Num has been assigned the district east of Jordan, and north of Gilead. 21:33; 32:33; Deut. 1:4; 3:1-14; 1 Kgs. 4:13. The area was rich in grain production, and it is well-known for the Ps. breed of cattle. 22:12, Amos gave a symbolic reference Amos 4:1-3.
